The basic random variables w ere discretized b the Cheb shev nodes to obtain discrete experimental samples. Then the Cheb shev approx imation theor w as applied to approximate the relationship of the random response-variables. The statistical moments of the random response were computed w ith the dimension-reduction method for mult-i dimensional integration. Finall , a practical engineering case w as used to demonstrate the generalit and effectiveness of the proposed method.
