In this paper, a servic-e oriented, better opening, standard-based and plu-g an-d play multidisciplinary tools integration platfor m for mechanism r eliability desig n and analysis is presented, and the architectures of desig n and analy sis of mechanism reliability based o n PDM technology are giv en. What is discussed is the model dat-a oriented integratio n of management to reali e the integratio n of CA D /CA E and P DM both in de sign and collaborative simulatio n periods. A t last, an application ex ample in space rende vous mechanism is briefly intr oduced to indicate methods of integration design and analysis of mechanism reliability and how to reali e P DM based collabor ative modeling and analy sis of mechanism r eliabil-i ty by using applicatio n packag ing .
