Instructed by: Jiang Lu [Abstract] “Primitive art” is a materialized form and mass media which embodies the spirit of national culture. By combining with the background of Chinese culture, it is analyzed the development and changes as well as the essence of the primitive art in this thesis based on the comprehensive and integrated study in order to promote the primitive soul of the primitive art. Cultural ecology theory is not only a theoretical basis but also a kind of methodology. It enables the people to make judgments with value orientation and its extended spirit makes the people obtain a sense of destination in the innermost heart so that it helps people analyze and understand the eternal principle of the primitive art under the factual social background. The consciousness to protect the “Non-material cultural legacy” of people becomes stronger and stronger in recent years, which makes the research of this subject be with more realistic significance.
