Results showed that most of the clones had inserting fragmentswhich length ranged from 100 bp to 500 bp. Four hundred and eleven ES swere successfully sequenced and searched againstNCBIGenBank, the results indicated that 377 ES s had significant smi ilaritiesw ith known genes. A ll the ES s were divided into 126 genes according to the gene annotation. hese ES s were mainly involved in pigment synthesis, energy metabolism, prmi ary metabolism, secondary metabolism, defense against stresses, signal transduction, tran- scription, flavor form ation, oil synthesis, peel softening, antioxidantmetabolism etc. here were 63 uni-ES s which accounted for 4912% of the total ES s and another 34 ES s had no matching homologous sequences found.
