历届美国数学建模竞赛赛题（Previous American mathematical modeling contests） American mathematical modeling contest (2001-2006) AMCM2001 - A: choose bike wheels There are different types of wheels for cyclists to use on their bikes. The two basic wheel types are assembled from metal spokes and solid disks (see figure 1). The spokes wheel is lighter, but the solid wheel is more aerodynamic. For a road race, the solid wheel is never used as a front wheel for a bicycle but can be used as a rear wheel. Professional cyclists take a look at the race route and ask a man of letters to infer which wheel should be used. The choice is based on the number and steepness of the hills along the route, the weather, the wind speed, the race itself and other considerations. Of your favorite team coach hopes to ready a good system, and the competition for a given route has asked for help from your team to determine appropriate USES what kind of wheel information. The coach needs clear information to help make the decision and has asked your team to complete the tasks listed below. For each task, the same spokes will always be in front, and the rear wheels are optional. Task 1. Provide a form to give wind speed. At this speed, the physical rear wheel requires less energy than the spokes rear wheel. This form should include wind speeds that correspond to the steepness of the road from zero to 10% increments. The steepness of the highway is defined as the total increase of a hill divided by the length of the highway. If the hill is considered a triangle, its steepness is the sinusoid of the inclination of the foot of the mountain. A rider started off the foot with an initial speed of 45kph, which was proportional to the steepness of the highway. For five percent of the steepness, the speed of 100 meters is down by about 8kph.
