In this review, air-soil interaction and formation of air particulates was firstly expounded in theory. Afterwards, human health effects based on toxic substances of air particulates in some typical urban areas in northern China were analyzed; the interrelationships between human diseases and air particulates were correlated, although many diseases remain to be tracked.
