5大原则(Five principles) Remember the five principles and do good quality management (post: dgaiou, post time: 2011-10-31, 13:39:28) The quality improvement of manufacturing industry has been delayed because of the lack of ability to acquire and continuously improve its knowledge of quality performance in design and manufacturing activities. Other enterprise systems, such as project life cycle management (PLM), do not improve quality because these systems treat quality improvement as a process management problem. The fundamental challenge for enterprises to realize quality leap is the problem of knowledge management and continuous improvement. Some statistics from manufacturers show the current dilemma of quality performance: 80% quality problems are recurring problems. 80% of the quality problems are due to material failure. Products are manufactured according to established specifications, but problems remain. We can often find through the root cause analysis that all the parts meet the specifications, but the specifications themselves are wrong. When asked why manufacturers are doing so, their responses are consistent: work cannot manage experience and best practices, and communication between process design and manufacturing is not enough. Even companies that are satisfied with the quality of their products have spent a huge amount of money on design prototypes, tests, rework, and time to market. Innovation is seen as an enemy of quality and time to market, so companies prefer to stay stagnant and result in product being left behind by competitors.
