This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Open Access Abstract Closed circulating water system culture is the advanced culture model and is also the future trend. The paper summarized the status and the scale of the recirculating aquaculture system of the flounder in our country and discussed the growth and physiologic characteristics of the flounder under the condition. Flounders’ common diseases and control measures in the factory circulating water were introduced. We discussed the hotspot and nodus problems in circulating water culture system of the flounders such as Cynoglossus semilaevis and turbot and also discussed the devel- opment trend of technology and research in the field.
