Euphemism, as a part of English, reflects ethics, religion, politics, custom, social life and other cultural aspects. Euphemism must exist together with culture. Therefore, euphemism is rich in cultural connotations. The article probes into euphemism from the cultural view and elaborates the cultural connotation of euphemism. Key words: English Euphemism; Cultural Connotation Introduction In the process of peoples contact, some words and expressions make people feel embarrassed, unhappy, and incur loathing or fright. If something is expressed directly, people will feel that it is vulgar and impolite. If it is expressed indirectly, people will feel that it is implicit, pleasant, delightful and courteous.
