The key parameters for twin roll cast strip w ere defined according to the classi- cal t heory of heat transfer and solidification and deduced the relat ionship of roll gap, roll diameter, liquid level and maximal casting speed. Different phenomena and mechanism of macro-segregation bet ween tw in roll cast st rip and traditional continuous casting slab were also summarized.
