Objective To explore the relationships bet een the syndrome of abnormal antidiuratic hormone secretion( SIADH) ith the incidence, degree of seriousness of cervical spinal cord injury, trau matic level,age,infection and craniocerebral injury Methods 37 cases of cervical spinal cord injury ere classified by their age, degree of seriousness of injury, combined infection and cranial cerebral injury, and then made a statistical analysis.Results In this series of 37 cases of cervical spinal cord injuries, the inci dence of combined SIADH as 5135% ( 19/ 37) , of hich, the incidence of SIADH as not related to their age and the levels of trauma of cervical spinal cord, ho ever,it as clearly related to the degree of se riousness of cervical spinal cord injury, there as a sharp increase in the incidence of SIADH resulted from combined infection,especially pneumonia. Conclusion The incidence of SIADH is clearly related to the degree of seriousness of cervical spinal cord injury and the infection but not to their age,traumatic plane in acute cervical spinal cord injury.And craniocerebral injury may be the inducing facfor of SIADH.
