In order to overcome the in- accuracy of motion parameter estimation due to Iightness discontinuity ，an opticaI fIow estimation method is proposed by modifying the smoothness constraint ，according to the edge feature of predic- ted image and improving on IocaI smoothness constraint . The method can enhance the accuracy of estimation ，w eaken the harmfuI effect on the motion edge by gIobaI smoothness constraint in Horn aI- gorithm ，and improve the PSNR . Experiment resuIts show that this method is more suitabIe and effec- tive.
