Therefore, the residual stress and the coating stress generated during the thermal spraying coating are obviously different from the thermal spraying conditions. The influence of several thermal spray conditions on the properties of coatings was studied. The typical thermal barrier coating system is composed of partially stable zirconia (chemical composition of 8wt % Y2O3 - ZrO2) and CoNiCrAlY bonding layer. The velocity and temperature of the flying particles and the temperature of the substrate are changed with the change of the thermal spraying process parameters.
