T he sound transm ission p erf orm ance of multilayer system s is of utmost impo rtance f or noise control in automobiles, air craft s, bu ildings, and several other engineer ing applications . T he system w ith low_w eig ht thin structure and good sound insulation character is very useful in the sound insulation f ield , and it is one of the important object s w hich m any researchers long f or. I n this paper, the transf er m atrix m ethod is u sed to study the sound transm ission loss f or nor m al incident sound in p er iodic inf inite multiple panels, and simulation s are given f or multiple p anels w it h diff erent stru ctures, respectively.
