A mi ing at the prob lem of W deform ation and inhomoge neous stress of the arch scaffolding, som e general princip les of optmi izing trestle construction loading procedure are put for w ard and them ethod of tem porary preloading near arch crown in the process of load ing has been carried out. Then, the crude load ing procedure is optmi ized by fin ite element program. The resu lt ind icates that the optmi ized procedure of con struction loading makes the arch scaffolding deform ation and stress becom e reasonable. Therefore, the goal of optmi izing the load ing procedure is realized.
