The supernant ex tracted was nam ed as crude ant ibacteria l ex tract and its antibacterial effect against the g row th o f E scherich ia coli, C losterd ium p efr ring ens, S tap hy lococcus, S tap hy lococcus aureus, Sw ine ery sip ela and Pasteurella w ere tested by cup m ethod to determ ine the production of antibacterial substance. T he resu lts ind icated tha t the supernan ts ferm en ted w ith one bacillu s all had antibacterial effects against the six ind ication - gem s , and ant ibacteria l effect of 24 h ferm ents w as stronger than that o f 48 h. Co- ferm entation w ou ld enhance the product ion of antibacterial substances excep t that lichenifom is inhibited the g row th ofB acillus subtilis.
