Ueng A good under st anding of adhesive char acter istics of inter faces between geopolymer and neighbor ing mater ials is very important in promoting the usage of these industrial materials. This study investigated the adhesive characteristics by conducting a ser ies of laboratory uniaxial compressive t est s on r ect angu lar cement mor t ar sp ecimen cont ain ing geopolymer interlayers of varying dip angles. Experimental results showed that the apparent friction angle of the interface b et w e en t h e se t w o m at er ial s i s c omp ar ab le t o t h at of geopolymer, and is much greater than that of cement mortar. The apparent adhesion of the interface is approximately 32- 32 -4 3% 43% of that of the geopolymer and that of the cement mortar. This study proposes a failure envelope based on the strengths of geopolymer and cement mortar, and the adhesion of their interface. This failure envelope is capable of predicting the p ossible failur e modes of the comp osit e sp ecimen under various stress states. 關鍵詞： Key words: geopolymer 、adhesive 、interface 、stress state
