Methods:We divided 72 patients with chronic prostatitis into two groups,the treatment group(n=36) and the control group(n=36).The treatment group received Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and taken Levofloxacin capsule, the control group have taken Levofloxacin capsule simply,compared the changes of pre-/post-treatment symptom scores(NIH-CPSI)、maxinum flow rates(Qmax) after 4 courses of the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.7 %,the total effective rate of the control group was 61.1 %,there was statistical significance between two groups(P＜0.01)；There were statistically significant differences in NIH-CPSI、maxinum flow rates(Qmax) between two groups after teatments(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The treatment group is superior to the controll group in improving symptoms and reducing NIH-CPSI,increasing maxinum flow rates(Qmax).The treatment of chronic prostatitis with Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation is effective.Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation is one of the effective methods for therapy in chronic prostatitis.
