Experiment Research on the Mixture Ratio and
Characteristics of Tunnel Lining of Steel Fiber-
reinforced Concrete

Abstract
The steel fiber reinforced concrete would reduce the cross-section area of the tunnel, improve the stability of the tunnel, reduce
workloads and save costs. In order to study the mechanical properties and engineering characteristics of steel fiber reinforced

concrete, the shear wave section steel fibers which dosage were 0kg/m , 40kg/m , 50kg/m , 80kg/m and 120kg/m were joined
into the concrete. We carried out compressive strength and tensile strength experiment and calculated the optimum mixture ratio of

steel fiber reinforced concrete. The results show that when the shear wave section steel fiber content is 50kg/m , the compressive
strength and tensile strength of the steel fiber reinforced concrete reach maximum. The compressive strength of steel-fiber-
reinforced shotcrete is less than that of indoor by 4.5%. The tensile strength of steel-fiber-reinforced shotcrete is less than the one
indoor by 8.8%.
