School of Education, Bejiing ormal University, Bejiing ( 100875), China Abstract Objective To investigate the reakfast practice of pupils in schoo ls for the children ofm igrantw orkers in Beijing, and to provide evidence for the interventionm easurem ent. M ethods Tw o prmi ary schools for the children ofm igrantw orkersw ere selected, 579 pupils from grade 1- 6 w ere investigatedw ith selfdesigned questionnaire. Results A out 68. 7% pupils had reakfast every day, while 5. 4% never had reakfast; 82. 8% pupils had low quality reakfast and 0. 8% ate reakfast of high quality. There w ere statistical significant differences on reakfast frequency etw een grades, parents reakfast frequencies, cognition a out reakfast(P 0. 05) . Conclusion The frequency of reakfast of pupils in schools for the children ofm igrantw orkers should e mi proved, the sanitation of their reakfast is difficult to e ensure and the nutrition of their reakfast is inadequate.
