SCUMUN Position Paper Guidelines Position Paper Instructions Each delegation should write one position paper on the topic in each Sub-Committee. Please pay special attention to the following guidelines while drafting and submitting your position papers. Rewards will be presented to those who follow these guidelines and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the topic and comprehensive research. Under no circumstances will plagiarism be accepted. Position Paper Specifications The position paper shall succinctly state the policy and stance of the country you are assigned to concerning the topic on the table. Delegates shall demonstrate the current and historical background of their country relevant to what is under discussion, positions of their alliances or adversaries, and justifications for their countrys position. Please refer to the Sample Position Paper released together to get a clearer picture of the structure. Also, position papers shall be formatted in the same way as presented in the sample. In addition, please make sure that your position paper is presented in PDF form. · Font shall be Times New Roman with the size set as 12 pt; · The length should be between one and two pages; · National and personal symbols (flags, pictures, etc.) are deemed inappropriate for SCUMUN position papers.
