Instead, try your best to read and understand the English directly. How to increase your word power The most natural and easy way of increasing your vocabulary is simply through meeting words in use. Whenever you meet a new word Dont be too rush to check it up from a dictionary, instead, try to guess its meaning first according to the context. Using Context Clues Use the meanings of other words in the sentence(or paragraph) and the meaning of sentence as a whole to reduce the number of possible meanings. Use grammar and punctuation clues that point to the relationships among the various parts of the sentence. Be content with a general idea about the unfamiliar word; the exact definition or synonym is not always necessary. Learn to recognize situations in which it is not necessary to know the meaning of the word.
