附件2： NIH向其院内研究人员发布的“院内项目申请指南”（英文） Call for Proposals for U.S.-China Program for Research Toward a Cure for HIV/AIDS TIMELINE: Letter of Interest Deadline: 10/24/2014, by 5:00 PM local time of applicant organization Proposal Submission Deadline: 11/21/2014,by 5:00 PM local time of applicant organization Review: [March 2015] NIH Award Notification: [Oct 2015] PURPOSE: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the United States (U.S.) Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) supports and undertakes international collaborative biomedical research to advance science and expand biomedical knowledge.? Scientific cooperation between the U.S. and the People’s Republic of China was initiated over 30 years ago and has grown rapidly in recent years.? Recognizing that enhanced cooperative biomedical research would be of mutual benefit to the U.S. and China, the NIH Director and the President of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in October, 2010. NIH and NSFC signed an Implementing Arrangement (IA) in August 2013 to develop a new U.S.-China collaborative program focused on research toward a cure for HIV/AIDS. A Joint Working Group (JWG), made up of members from both NIH and NSFC, will develop strategic plans for collaboration, review and clearance of proposed U.S.-China projects. Both the NIH and NSFC have allocated funds to support joint activities pursued under this program. This Call for Proposals announces an opportunity for NIH intramural scientists to request funding to develop new collaborations or expand ongoing research efforts with Chinese scientists under the U.S.-China Program for Research Toward a Cure for HIV/AIDS. Proposals that include a short-term scientist exchange are acceptable. Proposals that are for stand-alone scientist exchange are not permitted.
