Changzhou D ongg ao D yeing and F inish ing C o. , L td. , Changzhou 213008, China Abstract: Catoi nic copoyl merwas prepa red by emulsion polymerization w ith acrylate as a monomer and cetyltrmi ethy lammon-i um brom ide ( CTA B) and XL-50 ( iso-tridecanol polyoxyethy el ne ether ) as emusl ifiers, and its stability, fiml -form ni property and performance in pi ment dyein were compared w ith those of conventoi na l anionic adhes ive. Testin results show ed that cationci adhesive featured hi her stability and lower dissovl ed fiml loss ratio, water-absorptoi n and T compared w ith those of anoi nic adhesive. Assisted w ith this catoi nic adhesive, cotton pi mentdyein s had soft handle and excellent rubbin and wash- in fastnessw ithout additoi na l stenterin operatoi n.
