【Abstract】 Objective Toinvestigatethefactorsinfluencingtheemotionalandcognitivemipairmentsinpatients
aftercerebralinfarction.Methods Onehundredeighty-ninepatientswithfirstcerebralinfarction, 2 34 patientswithrecur-
rentcerebralinfarctionand56 agematchednormalcontrolswerestudied.Thecognitivefunctionandemotionstatuswere
testedusingWechsleradultintelligencescale(WAIS), HamiltonAnxietyScaleand17 -itemDepressionScale.Results
Ofthe189 casesoffirstcerebralinfarction, 103 hadintellectualImpairment(54.5 ), 125 anxiety(66.1 ), and128
depression(67.7 ).Ofthe2 34 caseswiththerecurrentcerebralinfarction, 169 hadintellectualImpairment(7 2.22 ),
179 anxiety(72.22 ), and185 depression(76.5 ).Themainfactorsinfluencingthecognitivemipairmentwereanxiety
anddepressiondisorder,seducation, occupation, locationandquantityofcerebralinfarction, whitematterlesion, andbrain
