M ethods Basic surgi calmethods for the combination of IFC and IMBG for lumbar spinal fusion were de signed and initially used in the treatment of lumbar degenerative disease. A total of 5 cases ( 7 segments) of lumbar degenerative diseasewere included in the study. n the basis of routine discectomy, nerve decompression, and transpedicular fixation, the modified technique for PLIFwas profermed in all cases.
