Mi- crosoft SQL Server 2000 is selecte as ata base management system, an it is evelope by PowerScript un er the Sybase Power- Buil er. The system is comprise of four functions, namely, e iting papers, managing papers, setting options for question ata base an compiling pictures. The system contains more than 5 000 stan ar ize examination questions of wel er training in form of blank questions, ju gement questions, choice questions, simple answer an computation questions. The contents cover wel ing basic theory, wel ing metallurgy , wel ing materials, wel ing metho s, wel ing equipments, metallic materials an their wel ing, wel ing stresses an istortion, wel efects, wel ing inspection, the safety technology of cutting an wel ing an so on. As a re- sult, the management system of wel er examination papers can be use for wel er training, wel er or wel ing technician examina- tion an wel ing technical contests at ifferent levels.
