Based on the analysis of experience tourism and the status quo of Chinese tourist guides, this paper puts forward the development direction of tourist guides which adapt to the experience tourism development. Key words: experience tourism; tour guide; new requirement As peoples material and cultural life level unceasing enhancement, tourism consumption mentality increasingly mature, after years of cultivation of Golden Week, Chinas tourism industry has emerged from the lower level tourist to more senior consumption patterns in the scene, experience as the characteristic, high melting the taste of food, housing and transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment activities as one of the tourism experience gradually trend. Two famous American scholars Joseph? Pine and James? Gilm in the experience economy that the current world economy has entered the experience economy era. The so-called experience is to serve as the stage, with commodities as props, around the consumer to create a consumer recall activities. Experience tourism is a new tourism product in the background of experience economy expanding the scale, the biggest feature is the focus on the efficiency of tourist experience, is the essence of people-oriented, the ultimate goal is happiness, intimacy, self value. Therefore, experience tourism emphasizes the active participation of tourists and their own experience, so that tourists can really enjoy the pleasure of travel
