Genetic analy si s indicat e d that the dwarf phenotyp e in Ait aiyin3 i s involve d in two rece ssive loci . Using bulk analy si s with SSR marker s ,the two loci were locat e d on the chromo some 1 and chromo some 4 ,re sp ectively . Moreover ,the alleli sm t e st showe d that the locus on the chromo some 1 i s allelic to the semidwarf gene sd1 ,while the other one i s a new locus ,here wa s name d a s sdt2 . Further molecular mapping showe d that sd1 wa s linke d with SSR marker s in the order of RM297RM302RM2 12O SR3 sd1 with genetic di st ance s of 4 7 cM ,0 cM ,0 8 cM and 0 cM ,re sp ectively . The linkage relationship of sdt2 with five SSR marker s wa s SSR332RM1305 sdt2RM5633RM307RM40 1 with genetic di st ance s of 11. 6 cM ,3 . 8 cM ,0 . 4 cM ,0 cM and 0 . 4 cM ,re sp ectively .
