Design of upper limb rehabilitation robot
ABSTRACT
Rehabilitation Robotics is a covered medical rehabilitation science, new
interdisciplinary research field of mechanical dynamics, computer science and robotics
manufacturing simulation technology a nd other subjects. In Europe and other developed
countries, the rehabilitation robot technology has been widely attention of researchers and
medical institutions, and made some valuable research. But in China, due to the large
population, the uneven distribution of medical institutions, the uneven level therapists,
rehabilitation medicine career is in its infancy. Therefore, the use of modern medical
technology and mechatronics technology, to develop rehabilitation robotics, to solve
practical problems of rehabilitation cause of great significance. With the use of
rehabilitation research and robots, may be further substituted traditional treatment, the
treatment process to quantify the effect of improving the efficiency and treatment. At the
same time, changing the patient to the hospital or clinic for treatment only way to reduce
the geographical and space, reduce the cost of treatment. Therefore, the design and use of
rehabilitation robots in modern rehabilitation medicine has prospects of rehabilitation.
This paper analyzes the present situation of the development of upper limb
rehabilitation robot, and discuss methods of rehabilitation medicine theory about
rehabilitation training, process, summarize the rehabilitation robot design. As requested, the
design of a new type of upper limb rehabilitation robot.
