This paper reviews the history and application of brain tumor animal models. Keywords brain neoplasms; animal models; xenotransplantation; transgenic animals; Brain tumor is a serious threat to human health and life of the disease, and provides a high simulation tool to establish the tumor animal model to study the pathogenesis, biological characteristics and detection of various treatment methods.
