挪威电力市场论文(Norway electric power market) Norway electric power market abstract The power industry is considered an industry of economies of scale, and most countries adopt an industry structure that provides power services throughout the market by a small number of vertically integrated large power companies. With the progress of power generation technology, the introduction of competition and the reduction of electricity prices have become an important reason for promoting the reform of the electricity industry all over the world. The reform of the electricity market in Norway is regarded as a successful case of reform. This paper introduces the general situation of Norway electric power market, the reform plan and the current situation, so as to draw experience from it. General Situation of Norway electric power market Norway is located in the northwestern part of the Nordic Scandinavian Peninsula, with an area of 386974 km2 (mountainous area, 70%), with a population of 4 million 480 thousand (2000 statistics). Norway is a country rich in primary energy resources such as water power, petroleum and natural gas. Its oil export ranks third in the world, and natural gas is the second largest exporter in Europe after russia. Coal is produced only in the northern part of Svalbard island in the Spitsbergen region and the only coal-fired power plant in Norway. In 1992, the countrys total generating capacity was 117.5TWh, of which 99.7% were hydropower, which is one of the most abundant water resources per capita in the world. According to the June 2001 data show that the total generating capacity of Norway in 2000 was 141 billion 900 million kW.h, with 857 plant, the total installed capacity of 27 million 763 thousand kW, the per capita consumption of 24799 kW.h, is the worlds one of the most countries with per capita consumption.
