Ge Jiapu Abstract Objective: To explore and analyze the long-term curative effect and safety of Pioglitazone Hydrochloride Capsules in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: 50 patients with T2DM who had used metformin and sulphanylureas for 3 monthes add to oral Pioglitazone Hydrochloride Capsules, by the method of anterior-posterior treatment. Because whose blood glucose has uncontrolled. To observe the change of anterior-posterior treatment on body weight, body mass index(BMI) ,blood pressure, fasting blood glucose(FBG), postprandial blood glucose (PBG), glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc), fasting insulins（FINS ）, insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) ,insulin sensitivity index( ISI) ,blood routine examination(WBC、RBC、HB), liver function test （ALT 、AST ）,kidney function test （BUN、CREA ）. Results: patients had been therapied for 3 monthes ,their FBG ,PBG ,HbAlc, HOMA-IR is obviously descend. （P0.05 ）.and ISI has enhancement than pretreatment （P0.05 ）.but ALT、AST 、BUN、CREA, body weight, BMI has no obviously statistics difference （P0.05 ）Conclusion: Pioglitazone Hydrochloride Capsules can control the hyperglycemia of T2DM patients,and not damage the β Cell Functions, reduce blood glucose and alleviate HOMA-IR and have a long-term security.
