Abstract: T he p ap er summ ar izes the f eatures and application o f the CF D simulatio n softw are like Phoenics, F lu ent and CFX etc
in chem ical eng ineering , and discu sses their str ucture f eatures, special modules, m athem atical models and su ccessful application
areas . It al so put s f o rw ard sev en r ules f or the g oo d choice of co mm ercial CF D co de f o r the CF D simulation resea rcher s . Based
on t he predict ion of the techno log y dev elo pm ent , it point s out the po ssible r esear ch directio n f o r CF D in the future w ill f o cus on
