Results all the cases reached the operation requirement. With satisfactory analgesia and muscular relaxation, stable hemodynamics, operation time is not restricted, less dosage of local anesthetic, to avoid the single subarachnoid anesthesia and epidural anesthesia time limited local anesthetics poisoning the disadvantages to postoperative analgesia. It is concluded that combined spinal epidural anesthesia for vaginal LPS total hysterectomy is an ideal method of anesthesia. Results showed that the requirements of operation were reached in all the cases with satisfactory analgesia and muscular relaxation, stable hemodynamics, unlimited time for operation and small dosage of local anesthetic. This avoided the disadvantages of the limited time in single subarachnoid space block anesthesia and local anesthetic poisoning during extradural anesthesia. It is thought that CSEA may be a comparatively satisfatory anesthesia for vaginal LPS total hysterectomy. Key, words, a
