In recent years, as an important object of the future development of marine fuel LNG (liquefied natural gas) in our country has been more and more research and attention, many domestic Shipping Companies get ready to start the ship LNG power transformation project. However, new technology lead to uncertainty, and uncertainty give rise to risk.The greater the risk is, the greater we lost, so the risk management has become an important factor affecting the success of the project. This article begins with a detailed description of theory about risk management, the risk planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response, and risk monitoring and controlling ; and then introduces the ship LNG power transformation technology; finally,describes the risk management of ship LNG power transformation project from JM Ship Management Company.The risk of the project is analyzed and the control is carried out, the specific risk response proposals are put forward, and some problems are solved. At present domestic research on the LNG ship power project risk is very rare, this theory, combined with the practice, choice of LNG ships and power transformation engineering project risk management research,has important and practical scientific significance.
