ABSTRACT
Objective:Esophagealcarcinomaisacommonmalignant
tumorwhichthreatenshumanbeingsseriously.Itisconsidered
thatesophagealcarcinomaisasystemicdiseaseratherthana
localdisease.Investigationonimmunologyoftumorpatients
showedthatimmunefunctiondecreasesinthesepatients
Further,surgicaloperationandgeneralanesthesiawouldalso
suppressimmunefunction.Itisrecommendedthatthetreatment
oncarcinomashouldtakethepatientasatotalbody.Asa
systemictreatmentmethod,iRNAwasemphasizedstronglyin
thecombinedtreatmentofesophagealcarcinomainnearyears.
ImmuneRNAisakindofbiologicalpreparation,whichcan
transferspecialimmunefunctiontonormalcells.Itcanalso
transferandestablishspecificimmunitybetweendifferent
species.ImmuneRNAhasbeenusedtotreatneoplasmformany
years.However,ithasspecificityindeliveringinformation,and
thereisnocrossreactioninvarioustumorantigens.So,the
treatmenteffectsofiRNAwerelimited.Theautologoustumor
iRNA,whichproducedbyimmuneanimalvaccinatedby
autologoustumortissues,caneliminatetheseeffects.So,it
shouldbeamoreidealmethodthanthatofallogeniciRNA.In
thisstudy,theimmunefunctionofpatientswithesophageal

carcinomawasdetectedbyflowcytometryandargentophilic
stainingintheperiodofperioperationandafterimmunetreated
byautologoustumoriRNA.Then,theseresultswereanalysed
withthenearsurvivalrate.Theaimofthisstudywastoclarify
theeffectsofoperationtoimmunefunction,andtoelucidatethe
anti-tumormechanismofRNA.
Methods:FromMarch2003toAugust2003,sixtycasesof
esophagealcarcinomapatientswereselectedinFourthHospital
ofHebeiMedicalUniversity.Allpatientswerediagnosedas
esophagealsqumouscellcarcinomabyendoscopeandbiopsy.
