Anti-scour protection of pile foundation of wharf and trestle bridge
associated with J iangsu LNG receiving station

Abstract ：The piers and abutments of Jiangsu LNG receiving station wharf and trestle proj ect are located in an area with very
complicated natural conditions, and the change of scour -and -fill in the area is obvious. Based on experimental study, we
confirmed that the anti-scour protection should be implemented in the medium-term, the graded gravel inverted filter should be
combined with armor block layer to form the protective material, and the pile foundation should be protected in the extent of
40 m far from the piers. Using a reasonable protection construction scheme can reduce the difficulty of pile foundation
construction and ensure the construction period.
