Teaching aids:
CD, some pictures and the word cards
Teaching steps:
Step 1 Revision:
a. Look at the word cards, read aloud and make up sentences with some of them.
b. Have diction.
c. Say something about your holiday.
Step 2 Learn the new words:
a. Ask the pupils and look at ht phonetics read the new words freely.
b. Ask some one to read out.
c. Say sentences with: was, were” and teacher write some of them on the blackboard.
d. Ask the pupils try to turn the sentences into questions and say how to give out the answers and ask them say why do like this.
Step 3 Presentation
①聚焦问题,初读文本,了解大意
播放录音,先听整个文本,然后回答问题。两个问题如下:
What’s the topic of this passage? When did they begin to learn English?
② 聚焦关键,再读文本,获取信息
教师请学生带着问题What have they learned? 再次朗读文本。
③聚焦细节,三读文本,突破词汇
学生带着问题What topics are they interested in ?寻找细节信息。突破本科书的新单词和新短语如: topic, practice, doing /do tasks.
④聚焦主题,深度解读,引发思考。
学生带着问题How to be good students in an English class?再读文本,结合已有的学习经验进行思考,归纳一些英语学习的好方法。回答该问题。
Step 4 practices:
①Ask and answer in pairs with:
We are very interested in...
②Read and practice the dialogue:
a. Read freely
b. Practice the dialogue in pairs
c. Act out the dialogue
③教师带领学生玩闪卡游戏,帮助学生复习大量单词或句子。
如:begin , word , sentence, topic, in and out of class ,do tasks.在学生抢读出这些单词或句子后,教师将他们贴在黑板的一角,然后总结: We have learned a lot of words and sentences. 并通过对比体会 have learned 的用法。
Step 5 Grammar
一般过去时的概念:
表示在过去某个时间里所发生的动作或存在的状态。通常在句子里找到表示过去时间的词或词组。如:
yesterday, yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening, the day before yesterday, last night, last week, last month, last year, a moment ago, just now,
