Latex coating consists of four parts: pigments, fillers (aggregates), emulsions, solvents and auxiliaries. Among them, additives are indispensable components of latex coatings. The selection and application of additives determine the quality level of coating products to a certain extent. Therefore, the selection and application of latex coating aids are of great importance. Latex coating additives mainly include wetting dispersant, defoaming agent, thickening rheological agent, film-forming aid, antifreeze, preservative, anti algae agent and so on. This paper mainly introduces the selection and application of these additives. 1., the choice and application of wetting dispersant, in the formulation of latex coatings, scientific and rational selection and application of wetting dispersant, stable pigment and pulp dispersion slurry is the basis of producing high-quality latex coating. Latex paint with water as a solvent or dispersion medium, water surface tension and higher dielectric constant, the latex paint pigment slurry formulation by using wetting and dispersing agent to complete water and paint effective wetting and dispersion stability of pigment.
