In times of low business, the companys situation could be worse if the morale of the employees and the retention of talents were left unchecked!
The means of motivating and retaining talent in Chinese enterprises are relatively small, mainly relying on exciting growth plans, rising salaries and benefits and a steady stream of opportunities for advancement. These money based incentives, the situation in a good situation, the organizational atmosphere burning hot. But under the current financial crisis, many companies are unable to provide financial incentives, these beautiful bubble have been shattered, instead, in a hurry to depart, pensively management, salary freeze and promotion plan, options shrink, or even layoffs. Many enterprises in Chinese would attract and retain talent is struggling to cope, now only take non monetary incentives creatively, to boost employee morale and retention of key personnel, to help the success of enterprise China overwintering.
Money incentives dont work much
Therefore, the author believes that in the economic downturn, money incentive to retain talent has a small role, enterprises need to focus on two aspects to attract, motivate and retain talent: first, improve employee engagement; second, more for the sake of employees, for employees to provide better support for success.
