Read the passage on page 30 of the textbook and find out about scientists theories about the extinction of the dinosaurs. 2. Read the passage carefully and decide whether the statements are True of False. 1) Most animals have died out during the long history of the earth. ( ) 2) Dinosaurs are the most famous of the animals that have disappeared. ( ) 3) There used to be many different kinds of dinosaurs in the world. Listen to the tape and underline the difficulties you have. 2. Discuss your difficulties with your group members. Task 4: Individual work in class. Look at the listening practice on page 30 of the textbook. 1. Predict in groups how the dodo might have become extinct. 2. Listening. Finish Ex3 and 4 on page 30. 3.
