Unit4 Lesson 24 Helen Keller 教案 一、教学目标 1、知识与技能 (1)认读新单词:blind、deaf、drew(draw)、herself、model. 新词组: all over 重点句型: She couldn’t hear, she was blind. She couldn’t see, she was deaf. The teacher drew the letters in Helen’s hand. She could speak、read and write. She wrote a book about herself. She went all over the world. She is a model for people (2)熟练运用新句型与同桌进行相互问答; (3)能够借助课文中的照片和图片,进行看图问答或综合说话; (4)能够根据多媒体课件自主读写英语短文材料。 2、过程与方法 (1)通过师生问答、两两对话、角色扮演等多种言语交际活动,培养和提高口语交际能力和在日常生活中迁移运用英语的能力; (2)能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,有语言表达和同学交流的愿望。 3、情感态度与价值观 (1)激发和保持学生英语学习的动机,实现“趣能”两得; (2)通过学习美国著名盲人作家Helen Keller的故事,教育学生要坚强勇敢地向命运挑战。 二、教学重难点 1、学习新单词、短语及重点句型。 2、正确运用could、couldn’t造句。 3、复述课文。 三、教学用具 多媒体课件 四、教学过程 Step1. Warming up and preparation: 1) Greetings. 2) Lead in T: Can you speak English? S: Yes, I can. / No, I can. (Ask more questions like that.) T: But when you were three years old. As a little child, could you speak English? Could you write Chinese? S: No, I couldn’t. / Yes, I could. (设计意图:在和学生交流的过程中复习运用can 的句型描述能力,引导学生对比自己还是小孩子的时候能做的事情,学习运用could 句型,为学生创设真实的语言背景和语言素材。) Step2、Presentation 1. Introduce Helen Keller T: We can see , we can hear and write now .We could hear, we could speak when we were a small child .But there is a girl, as a small child ,she became blind and deaf, she couldn’t hear ,when she grown up, she learned to speak read and write. She wrote a book, and went all over the world; do you know who is she? S: She is Helen Keller. T: Here I have some information about Helen Keller in Chinese. Let’s have a look. (Show a photo of Helen Keller with the introduction in Chinese) When Helen Keller was a child, she was ill. So she couldn’t see and she couldn’t hear. Helen Keller couldn’t see, she was blind. And she couldn抰 hear, she was deaf. (n板书重点句型,出示单词blind 、deaf)) How did Helen Keller learn to speak? Yes, her teacher Ann Sullivan drew the letters in Helen’s hand.
