Unit18 Beauty Lesson 2 What’s Your Favourite Music? 教学设计 2 Teaching objectives: To practice using vocabulary for describing music To practice listening strategies for matching people with opinions To practice giving opinions, agreeing and disagreeing Teaching important points: To master key words and expressions for describing music To classify the adjective words and the expressions with the functions Teaching difficult points: To help the students to use inquiry learning to master more words To help the students to know more information about music and enjoy it Teaching methods and studying methods: Communicative Approach Task-based language teaching Communicative and Inquiry learning Teaching aids: Multimedia, blackboard, textbooks. Teaching procedures: Step1. Lead-in. First .Use the popular song named “fly higher” by Wang Feng to bring the title in. And then help the students to know different kinds of music. Music: 1.classical music: waltz,serenade,rhapsody,romance,sonata,symphony 2. modern music: light music,country music, jazz,rock‘n’roll, pop music Second .Ask the students to enjoy three pieces of music to guess what kinds of music they are to help them to know their loved music. Step2. Pre-listening. First. Help the students to master the key words for describing music. (positive, negative, neutral).Adjectives: positive: accessible, dynamic, polished Negative: heartbreaking, shabby, harsh, disturbing neutral: sentimental verbs and nouns: deliver, refresh, dignity, Second. Check whether the students have remembered the new words: Accessible polished/ shabby deliver dignity 精力充沛的,有活力的 令人烦恼的,不安的 多愁善感的 使精神愉快;唤起 Step3. While-listening Task 1:Listen to the descriptions and match them to the pictures. Picture A 1 Picture B 2 Picture C 3 Picture D
