Abstract : A Time omain FiniteSurface Method is generalized to scattering problems of arbitrary cross section perfectly elec
trically conducting (PEC) cylinder coatedwith composite chiralmedium.Time domain basic equations are built for solving electromag
netic problem in composite chiral medium.The bodyfitted orthogonal grids andthe second order absorbing boundary conditions,which
are suitable for orthogonal coordinates, are utilized. More accurate results arefound.Numerical Results have been obtained for RCS
problems of typical PEC cylinders coatedwith achiral andcomposite chiralmedium.Comparisons with exact seriessolutionshow gener
ally good agreement.
