Study 1 dem- onstrated that participants in the wearing-a-doctor’s-coat condition had shorter duration and lower degree of attentional blink than participants in writing characteristics or seeing pictures of doctor’s coat conditions. In Study 2, one group of participants wear a doctor’s coat; and the other two groups of subjects not only wear a doctor’s coat, but also their identity be manipulated, they are physician identification group and patient group respectively. There were no significant dif- ferences between participants in the wearing-a-doctor’s-coat condition and participants in the iden- tifying-with-doctors condition in the duration and the degree of attentional blink, while partici-
