In order to get the in- formation about the change of coastal beach in Nantong city in recent years, we used the Landsat remote sensing images in 2000, 2009 and 2014, respectively. The coastlines and artificial recla- mation of these three years were analyzed. By extracting the boundary line of artificial reclama- tion, the reclamation area and increase the amount of years could be obtained in recent years. This study provides a scientific basis for the scientific protection and the later sustainable deve- lopment.
