In this study, we use the “80.8” Nerve Type Test Table to assess 810 college students from six different types of universities in Suzhou. The major conclusions are as follows: 1) the distribu- tion of college students’ nerve types mainly concentrates in the several intermediate types, and the two extreme types are fewer; 2) there is no significant difference in the distribution of nerve types between male and female students, but there are significant differences in different types of schools; 3) in the aspects of brain functional characteristics, there are no significant differences between male and female in the average score and average leakage rate, but there are significant differences in the average score of error rate; 4) there are significant differences in the average score, average score of error rate and average leakage rate between different types of college stu- dents.
