The future of Chinese Cuisine Ⅱ.Chinese food therapy (食疗) Chinese food therapy is a practice in the belief of healing through the use of natural foods instead of medications. Chinese food or Nutrition therapy食疗, is a modality of traditional Chinese medicine, as opposed to evidence-based medicine Chinese food therapy dates back as early as 2000 BC. However, proper documentation was only found around 500 BC. The Yellow Emperors Classic of Internal Medicine, also known as The Yellow Emperor’s Classics of Internal Medicine (黄帝内经), which was written around 300 BC, was most important in forming the basis of Chinese food therapy. It classified food by four food groups, five tastes and by their natures and characteristics. Ⅲ.吃的借口多 More Excuses of Eating From some old sayings(古语) ★ The masses regard food as their heaven. 民以食为天。 ★ The desire for food and sex is part of human nature. 食色,性也。 ★ Governing a great nation is much like cooking a small fish. 治大国,如烹小鲜。 ★ One does not object to the finest food. 食不厌精,脍不厌细。 ★ Well fed,well bred. 衣食足,而后知礼节 ★ He that eats least eat most. 食量少,能长寿 Almost every Chinese festival is relevant to eating. Ⅳ. Eating culture 吃文化渗透在生活中 离不开“吃”: 谋生叫→糊口,岗位叫→饭碗, 受雇叫→混饭,花积蓄叫→吃老本, 受到伤害叫→吃亏,女人嫉妒叫→吃醋, 混得好叫→吃得开,沾女人便宜叫→吃豆腐, 女人漂亮叫→秀色可餐,受人欢迎叫→吃香, 受人照顾叫→吃小灶,不顾他人叫→吃独食。 Introduction Ⅰ. The origin of Chinese Cuisine Ⅱ.
