A ccording to the codes of H arbour hydro logy( JT J213 - 98 ) and env ironm enta l condition s and env ironm ental loads( SY /T 10050 - 2004) , and other relative codes, different smi p lified expression s are adopted to ca lculate the w ave loads and the effect o f added m ass o f sea w ater and the coupling effect o f flu id and structure on the p ile respon ses w ith d ifferen t w orking dep th s and var iab le w ave p aram eters. R esu lts show th at the effects of added m ass o f sea w ater and flu id- stru cture coupling on the p ile respon ses are different under d ifferent w orking cond ition s. Considering both effects in the analysis o f ocean structure con sist ing the p ilesw ith sm all dmi en- sion under the com binat ion of seism ic and w ave action is necessary.
